We care about the total well-being of our teammates. Our Well-Being Committee creates webinars, communications and training centered on teammate nutrition, sleep and more.
Service is at the heart of our organization, not only within our partnered practices and ASCs but in our communities. We are proud of our teammates who reinvest their time and energy into uplifting our local communities nationwide.
We're always excited to learn more about how we can continue to evolve our approach to best serving and meeting the needs of our workforce.
Teammate Resource Groups (TRGs)
SCA Health has seven Teammate Resource Groups (TRGs). These teammate-led groups create their own events, educational webinars and content showcasing their viewpoints, cultures and experiences.
Developed and agreed upon by TRG members, leadership and others at SCA Health, our solidarity statement outlines what teammates should expect and feel when they begin their careers with our organization:
We believe in a safe, inclusive and diverse culture in which teammates, patients and physicians feel they belong.
We promote respect and appreciation for our differences through our words and actions, acknowledging the value we all bring to the organization.
We expect our SCA Health community to work together and treat others with professionalism and courtesy in alignment with our values.
Supporting our Communities
At SCA Health, we see paid holidays as an opportunity for service. As part of our Martin Luther King Jr. paid holiday, teammates are encouraged to participate in the MLK Day of Service, giving back to local and/or national charitable organizations. Additionally, we host hundreds of volunteer events within our communities across the nation throughout the year.
We're proud to be a foundational corporate partner of One World Surgery. Every year, teammates from clinical and corporate backgrounds participate in medical mission trips to deliver critical surgical care to the people of Honduras and the Dominican Republic at no cost to the patient.
