Your Role & Responsibilities:
As a PreOp RN, you will:
- Assess and Prepare Patients – Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and pain management evaluations.
- Ensure Patient Safety – Implement safety protocols, monitor vital signs, and protect patients from potential risks.
- Collaborate & Communicate – Provide clear and concise hand-off reports to teammates and coordinate care with the perioperative team.
- Administer Medications Safely – Follow the 8 Rights of Medication Administration to ensure accurate and responsible medication delivery.
- Educate & Support Patients – Provide preoperative education, address concerns, and involve patients and their support system in their care plan.
- Maintain Standards of Care – Adhere to infection control protocols, universal precautions, and legal standards of practice.
- Advocate for Patients – Actively uphold patient rights, dignity, and privacy while delivering compassionate, culturally competent care.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement – Engage in quality review projects, training sessions, and team meetings to enhance patient care and workplace efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active RN license in the state of Arizona (or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred)
- Previous preoperative, PACU, or critical care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Passion for delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-focused care

Central Arizona Endoscopy – Where Your Skills Make a Difference.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of experience in ICU, Emergency Department (ED), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and/or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
- Current and active state nursing license in good standing.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of employment or proof of current certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment or proof of current certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of employment (if pediatric care is within facility scope) or proof of current certification.
- Specialty certification in Perioperative or Perianesthesia Nursing is highly preferred
